I don't know if she'lldrop a daytime feeding, but she should be dropping a mid-night feeding if she hasn't already. Mari used to wake up around 1 and agin at 4 and again at 7 or 8 to eat, but now only wakes up at 5 or 6 to snack and goes back to sleep for 3-4 more hours (this is with a 9 or 10pm bedtime). But bc of this, she makes up for those lost ounces by feeding more often during the day. We still nurse about 8 times/day.
Not exactly what you want to hear but every baby is different. This, plus growth spurts mean you may have that same level of feeding for a few more months.
If anything try for a long, quiet feed at night and hope she adapts and sleeps in more.
I guess my question was more geared during the daytime rather than the nighttime...Just wondering because I am going out of town for 3 days in Sept and I have to have enough breast milk for my Mom and I am not sure that will be possible if she is still eating 8-10x a day....
