What's your BF routine to keep up a frozen supply

I was doing so well w/pumping to keep up a supply, but I've slacked off or something cuz I haven't added to my supply like I used to.

I think becuz the one time I pumped after A fed, and when it was time for him to eat again I had barely any milk for him--disaster. And we have been on the go, or A has eaten off both breasts at one feed (growth spurt I believe)

Anyone want to share their routines, I really need to get my frozen supply back up to par.

see post above, i'm working on it!

  • For me, I only pump after the first feeding of the morning....(I seem to have the most built up at this time)...and than I put what I pump in the fridge until I get about 3-4oz total and then I store it in the freezer....

Lately I have been pumping for her actual first feeding of the morning (rather than after she eats, and I give her a bottle in the am) and I pump about 6-7 oz but she only eats about 3-4....so I give her 4oz and store the other 3 or so...

  • I pump after she eats in the am.  Even after eating, I usually can pump 3-5oz.

Wow, that is awesome...after she eats, I get at the most 3oz.....Your boobies work good lol!!!

  • Why not try pumping before you go to bed when Alex is already asleep and you know he won't ve waking up? I try to run for the pump when I hear her squirming in the morning, so I pump before she eats most of the time. My LC told me to do that because I have an abundance of foremilk at that time (so claims mari's poops). I store the milk, but Now for what, I'm not sure. My freezer is filled and this kid won't take a bottle anymore...
  • I have also heard that pumping before they eat is a good idea to boost supply.  Babies are much more efficient at getting the milk out than a pump.  I haven't actually tried it though.
