If the Whiskey doesn't work, perhaps an exorcism or a divorce is next
Because its a BRILLANT idea to take an already cranky, teething child, get her **completely** off her regular schedule just to go to a party, laugh when she misbehaves, stay way past her bedtime, then feed her pizza, spoil her by letting her stay up late when she protests just a smidge, and then repeat the next day. Because taking a 16m old to a car show in 96' heat in the blazing sun at **nap time** is an effing fabulous idea, is it not?!? So what if her nap gets pushed back THREE hours and she then sleeps until an hour before bedtime?! Lets go swimming and give her dessert first for dinner and then stay up until ONE in the MORNING. And yes, when you get fustrated, you should tell her that she IS supposed to be a big girl and IS supposed to be able to go to sleep on her own by now. That there is **great parenting** is it not? 
By 'misbehaves' I mean, Lil Miss full body tackled another little girl her age, not once but twice, and held her down in the bouncy house at the party. Then she stole the pacifier right out of a three month old baby's mouth and put it in her own. Lil Miss never even liked pacifiers!!!! I was mortified. She has never ever acted like this before and is usually very friendly with other kids. She was previously very gentle and loving towards this same infant. It has to be either teething or demonic possession.
I tried so so so hard to accomodate DH this weekend. His good friends had a bbq party for thier daughter who was recently baptized. The timing really conflicted with his work and Lil Miss' nap schedule, but still I tried to make it work. But did we leave when we where supposed to? No... and there goes the first domino...
Only becasue it was Father's day did I agree to go to that stupid car show. Yes it is stupid to park 50 shiny metal cars in the middle of an asphalt parking lot with no shade in the blazing sun during the hottest part of the day in the Summer and expect people to walk around, stop, and examine each one. It is incredibly uncomfortable.
(And this doesn't even touch upon the lovely visit from my mom who had one too many...)
Yeah, so I'm LIVID. I probably shouldn't even be posting this, but i'm so pissed I don't care. Our schedule is of course way off again today. I'm counting the minutes until 5 o'clock, when I'm heading out to the deck and channeling my inner Jimmy Buffet.

If you made it through this and can count how many Migraine triggers are mentioned in this post, you get a whole pitcher of margaritas.

oh jeez! Been there, done that too. It sucks when you're the one who has the task of getting the LO back on track and dealing with the leftover consequences. Hopefully Lil Miss will be back on her usual track very soon.

Miss Renee, Hopefully it will only take a day or two to get Izzy back on schedule. Was DH just as mortified as you or was he sitting back having a grand ole time?

THIS! Sorry you have to deal with the aftermath of all of that, Renee. Hopefully Lil Miss will get back on track soon. I wish I lived closer because I'd love to share a pitcher of margaritas with you!

DH thought it was funny, no big deal. He was happy because she was prettiest girl at the party and did fine playing with the THREE-year-olds. He has said 'with a girl as strong as Lil Miss, why would he ever need a son?' Sometimes I swear he opens his mouth and his mother comes out. Makes me want to puke. Why can't he just be normal all of the time?!?
Sounds like he should play a part in dealing with the aftermath while you go out!
That's insanity..also, fyi- it wouldn't be out of the question for your dd to be at the start of her 'terrible twos' phase- often it starts earlier than two..

Since he got such a kick out of, I think the next time that she doesn't take a nap should be a spa day for you and a stay at home day for dad.
