But I might become one after this week. We're watching BFF's cat for a week while they go on vacation (and they're watching Little Dog when we go on ours). I think he's been here a whopping 45 minutes and already he has my dogs in behaving better than I do. LOL
The duo, on the other hand, are going to drive this poor cat bonkers. Riley likes to run by him screeching and pointing, and Nathan keeps insisting on going over and "talking" to him. I think his new phrase is "be nice." That's what I always tell him when he gets too rough with the dogs, and I told him that immediately when he saw the cat this afternoon. The first thing he did after I said that was walk over to the cat, gently pat him on the head a few times, and say, "Eee ice!"
Re: I am not a cat person
I used to not be a cat person, then we got a cat! I love him!
We always just had dogs growing up b/c my dad said he hated cats. After we got my cat my dad fell in love with him too and now he has 3!
I sometimes think most people say they don't like cats b/c they've never actually had one.
I agree completely! It is kind of a crap shoot when you get a cat.
I still think of myself as a dog person for that very reason.
I think the biggest issue w/ cats is...they're not dogs :-P
(I say that w/ the full knowledge that my big older cat is a very VERy good cat and she' a very easy pet...but she's still a ***.
Of course, my little, troublemaker is everyone's favorite and is dog-like and is busy plotting my demise and probably breaking things as I type)
Be nice is the most important :-)
