Babies: 0 - 3 Months

When did you switch to size 2 diapers?

I have absolutely no idea how much LO weighs...she was born 8 lbs and turned 8 weeks today.  We have our two week apt next Wednesday but just wanted to find out how old your LO was when you had to switch to size 2 diapers.

Re: When did you switch to size 2 diapers?

  • I change diaper size by more how they fit than the weight.  If they are starting to get a little snug when fastening the diaper or the legs are getting snug I would go up a size.  If they are still fitting good I wouldn't worry.  You could always buy the size 2 and try a diaper and see if it fits good.  If it is too big just save them for later.

  • We're just moving up by fit and not weight.

It's pretty normal for them to be in between sizes for a bit too. It's annoying, but it's okay.

She finally outgrew her newborn diapers today. :)

ETA: well maybe not. I just got peed on. :D  I'm trying a different brand diaper this time.

  • Yesterday!!!  After 3 days of blowouts, it was time.  I do have to fold the top over, but we did that with the 1's as well until they fit better.  At his 2 month appointment last week he was 11 lbs 8 oz.
  • At two months - weighed 13 pounds 12 ounces

  • We will be switching as soon as our 1's are gone (probably in a couple days).
