I like the name Charlotte, but I'm not sure about the nickname. Then again, I'm the type of person who believes nicknames... are things that just happen and shouldn't be preplanned.
Levi... not really my style, but it's not my son, so that is all up to you, lol.
The girls name is okay but your DD's name is so unusual (but cute) I don't think they really go together. Charlotte is getting really popular. Just my two cents.
I really don't like Levi. I either think jeans or the word evil because it's all the same letters....

Personally, I hate it when little girls use a very "boy" nickname. Not cute. Plus, I always think of Top Gun when I hear a woman named Charlie. Wasn't that Kellie Magillis' character name?

Thanks for weigh in.. We've got time but my DH is super excited and wanted to get a jump start on the name thing. I do agree that Charlie and Coley may be a little close but it was DH's idea so if we go with Charlotte we'll see if it sticks. I have always liked boy names on girls. DD's name was my dad's middle and my Great Grandfathers first name. Levi is so far the only name that my DH and I have somewhat agreed on for a boy, all of our male family names stink!

I love both names. I do think Charlie is a little too close to Coley. If you want to use a nn, how about Lottie (although I don't think Charlotte needs a nn at all).

Re: I know it's early but I'm thinking about names...
I love Charlotte, but I can't stand the nn Charlie for a girl.
Levi is nms.

I love Charlotte Elizabeth, and think Charlie is a cute NN for that - but it sounds really close to your DD's name Coley, IMO.
Levi is NMS, but I love James for a middle name.

This exactly.
