IVF cycle question

Has anyone done an IVF cycle outside the US??  DH and I were considering going outside the US to do a DE IVF cycle due to financial concerns because it would cost a TON of money to do it in the US ... anyway, when we got down to it and really thought about it, we realized that we weren't sure if we could trust the doc in an unknown land (even if it was "only" 10k) because they would have their "AMA"/laws and we weren't sure if we could trust them ... we didn't want our money to go to waste so to speak ... so my q to u ladys out there is if you have done a cycle outside the US, how could you trust where we went and how did you coordinate between your doc in the other country??  for example, how did your doc outside the US know if your uterus was thick enough to do a transfer, etc??   Thanks in advance for answering the questions!!
