*long* Well, we were SUPPOSED to close on our house Tuesday....

Might not happen now. GRRR! As most of you know, DH lost his job in MN and we moved back to KY and he got a job here. We've been living with my ILs since March 1 (4 months) while we were waiting to close on this short sale house. (NOTE: This is a 2 story, 3 bedroom condo that now has his parents, his 19yr old sister home for the summer, his 20yr old brother who lives at home fulltime, pregnant me, DH, our 5 yr old, our 3 yr old, and our black lab)
Everything had come down to the end finally and we were scheduled to close tentatively on Tuesday. Papers all went to the lawyers/underwriters beginning of this week and we were waiting on them to finish and schedule the closing appointment. DH calls today and says the lawyers called Bank of America to get the final, FINAL piece of paperwork before they were done and would schedule the closing. BOA couldn't find it. After some digging, it turns out that someone from the foreclosure dept (a different dept than short sale dept, and apparently they dont talk to each other) put our house on the Master Commissioner List for auction...MONDAY. So now the lawyers and our realtor are scrambling trying to talk to someone who can first get it OFF the list, and second, get them the final piece of paper they need.
Two things: ONE: If they can't get it off the list, and it does get sold (it didnt sell at its auction in february), it's gone. We technically don't have a legal contract without the last piece of paper. But we do have a backup house. Then would just have to wait for the people to move out/close on that house. Another month at least. TWO: The seller's realtor is on vacation and nobody can locate him right now. Greeeaaatt.
Our realtors supposed to call either when she hears something or when she goes home for the day. Hopefully with good news. But we've long decided that if God wants us to have this house He will provide it and if not, then He will close the doors. We've been able to pay down some debt with DH's paychecks while we are living here and that's been a blessing. So please pray.
