Are all potty chairs created equal?

We're thinking of getting a potty chair just to have, in case Cal shows an interest in using it.  But I have no idea which to get.  For those who have one, are there certain things you have grown to like/dislike about it?  Any tips on choosing one?  Or is it really a no-brainer - just a pot to sit on will do the trick?

Plain and boring. No bells and whistles to distract from what they are in there for.

We have the Boon potty seat and love it because it doubles as a bench for her to stand on.

We also have one from One Step Ahead that goes on the big potty and has an attached step to help her get on.

But she prefers to just go on the regular potty with a ring.

we use the regular throne with a plastic step stool from Target in front of it. You know, because I like to wipe down more things down of IBTP. (Itty Bitty Toddler Piddle.)

they only fall in once, then they learn to hang on. lol.

we do have 3 of those $3 Ikea Bjorn knockoffs in various places, for quirks

and travel.

We have a little travel potty in the car, but at home we just have a ring on the toilet seat and a step stool.  We did have a 'potty', but I got sick of cleaning the dang thing. We decided the sooner her output was directly flushable the better.
