What color do I get? (A little off topic & need to act fast)

Breaking down and getting a second car (Honda) but with more storage. we have one baby and are looking to have a second child. Leather is out of the question b/c of budget.

I am debating between the red with grey fabric interior and the black with ivory/tan fabric interior. I have never had a red or black car. The red is a deep cherry/maroon red. Copy and paste below the website.

  • On looks alone, I like the black exterior/tan interior.

  • Black cars always look dirty.  Dust and dirt is brown and stands out.

  • I agree - black cars always look dirty.  I have a black car - won't do it again.  PLUS - I live in Florida....black cars are not your friend where it is warm and sunny.

  • I would get the color that has the "speckles" in it (sorry just woke up and forgot the correct word).  In other words not the matte finish.  Honda's matte paint has a tendency to fade quicker than the others.  I like the black with the beige interior....just my 2 cents ... have fun shopping!  :o)

I am not sure where you live but in the East Coast and in Colorado, black exteriors are very hard to keep looking clean.

This. I had a black car in FL when I lived there. You fight to keep it clean, when it rains the pollen (white/light) makes it look as dirty as the dirt the rain just washed off.

..And it was hellishly hot. So unless you either don't care or will wash it constantly.. I'd get another color. My white vehicles always *looked8 the cleanest.

  • I've never seen so many posts about a car. Zip it!
  • I got the red and feel good about it. Yes, my neighbor told me she had black and said it was a PIA to keep up. With kids and the possibility of going back to work I don't need the aggravation.

Jennifer - it seems that a car is something almost everyone can talk about b/c a lot of people have at least one :)

    Thanks!

  • Red, just so you don't have to wash it as much.

Very true. Sorry if my reply seemed bitchy. I just haven't seen you here before other than the two times you've posted about cars and when I looked at your previous posts, they were all car-related. Also, you don't have a ticker or a signature pic so I wasn't sure :) Hope you enjoy your new car!

  • That's OK I have a 6.5 month baby boy named Robert. I'm 39 and DH and I hope to TTC this summer our second and last baby. You did not seem bitchy. I was on last year and lost a lot of my info so had to create a new account.
