Do you still use bouncy seats?

Now that my boys sit up alone, I don't feel like I need them. But, I am not sure if I am ready to put them away.  What did you do?  Are you still using them if you LO sits on their own?

Re: Do you still use bouncy seats?

  • I only use it under supervision.. DS knows how to pull himself forward and almost topples the thing right over

  • My little girl uses hers. She loves it! We use it when I am in the kitchen cooking. She eats her breakfast in it while I have my morning coffee. It goes in the bathroom when I shower. I need it. I want one big enough for her to fit into when she goes to college(not really but a long time would be nice).
  • I JUST put ours away... DD's feet dangle over the edge and almost touch the floor in her little lamb seat.  Plus, she can sit up and lean all the way over.  I guess its time!!

Now that she sits unassisted she prefers to do that.

  • DS loves to sit and make his bounce, but we do have to watch him. I think he could topple it over pretty easy at his size. We put him in it near the dinner table some days so he'll stay put.

DD uses hers as a jungle gym.  I try to put her in it while I take a shower but she always finds a way out.  She will crawl all over the thing but I can never get her to stay put.

  • We never had a "bouncy seat" we have an infant to toddler rocker and although we use it a lot less than we did before, yes we still use it and hope to for at least 6 more months. It gives DS a place to chill and settle down before naps and even bedtime somedays.
  • ours went away around 5 months ish. it was against my will but he refused to be confined anymore!
  • Negative. She hasn't used a bouncy seat since she was 3 or 4 months old. Once she was big enough for the high chair, she had no interest in the bouncy seat.
