I found the letters in AC Moore. They are about 9 inches tall. If you want larger ones, why not buy styrofoam board (nice & light). You can make the letters as large as you want. You may need an exacto knife to cut.
With lighting, cloudy is always safe. Or put LO in the shade. Just keep in mind that if part of the image is bright & sunny & LO is in shade, the cameras meter tries to compensate. Be aware of all the light in the image. Also try to fill up your subject as much as possible in the screen to avoid all that extra background light that might be too bright.

Thanks. I saw some foam at walmart and thought about cutting it, but wasn't sure if it would look OK. Thanks - I may try that. I guess worst case, I don't use them, eh?
Thanks so much. I should be able to find an area that is all in the shade, but still very light. I love the light outside, but..hate the squinties and the shadows. )
