Anyone with the double babyjogger city mini

I was thinking about getting this stroller but wanted to know if it was worth the money.  I already bought the kolcraft tandem so it will take some convincing for DH to be on board with another stroller.  Is it really easy to fold up and folds up small?  Also is it easy to steer?  TIA

Re: Anyone with the double babyjogger city mini

  • I gave in and also bought it after getting the combi twin which folds up real easy and small! Wanted something for longer walks. Love the mini but it is annoying when it is folded. There isn't even anything to hold it together after its folded! It is a great walking stroller. And love the canopies.

  • i love it!  for me i do not mind the fact that there isn't a locking fold because most of the time it is in the back of my suv.

the only negative in my opinion is that the storage space underneath it is pretty much useless!

    it steers incredibly well!

This 100%. I'm so glad we have this stroller! While it doesn't "lock" mine does have a velco strap to keep it closed if you want to, but I've never used it.

  • I love this stroller too.  It is fairly large when folded, but it is a super easy fold...mine also has velcro to keep it folded, but I never bother with it.  I can steer the stroller with my pinky!  I actually disagree with PP about the underneath storage - I think there it a lot, plus pockets on the back of each seat for additional storage.  We did buy the parent console so we'd have a drink holder.  Definite must, IMO.

  • Thanks for all the info ladies.  Now I just have to convince DH that we need it lol.  Hopefully I'll be able to use my registry completion code to save on it (only reason I set it up lol).

The coupons 99.9% of the time exclude Baby Joggers. The company wants the prices to be fixed. It is an amazing stroller and totally worth the money though!

  • I recommend this stroller.  Like pp said - very easy to steer and light weight.  It is still kind of big when it folds but it fold flat which is a plus.  We rarely use the under storage b/c I attach my Skip Hop Duo diaper bag to the stroller handles and that doubles as my cup holders (I use the front pockets)

Maybe you can start with your Kolcraft while your baby is still in an infant carrier and then buy the city mini when she is like 4 months old.  We did not use ours until then b/c we used the DSNG at first.  That is unless you can convince DH to get it now! ;-)
