Success after IF

Did anyone get pg despite thin lining?

At my monitoring appt on cd11 my lining wasn't good. The measurement was 4.6 or so (my re thought the measurement was off but still said my lining wasn't "pretty"). I triggered on cd13 and o'd cd15. I am assuming that my lining was too thin to sustain pregnancy but I am wondering if anyone here got pg with thin lining.

I never had trouble ovulating and had great lining before starting treatments so essentially IF treatments are making me less fertile...awesome. Smile

Re: Did anyone get pg despite thin lining?

  • My lining has never been great. On CD12 of my first FET my lining was 5.7, but after some POM pills 2 days later it bounced to 8.4

For the FET round that got me pregnant this time around my lining was 7.4 on the day of ovulation. While under the preferred 8mm range, it had tripple lining, which my RE said is the most important thing. And hey, I'm pregnant.

I wanted to share both, because:

    1. Lining really can make a change in just 2 days

    2. Even low lining makes babies :)

    Good luck!

Congratulations on your pregnancy....I recognize you from the Nor Cal board...I lurk there sometimes.

  • Thanx!

And it's not straws -- even my IVF with G my lining was low. They told me so on the last u/s follie check. I remember getting in the car crying thinking if all the shots, and everything was just doomed to failure if my lining wouldn't support a pregnancy. But hey, he stuck around.

Did your RE observe triple lining?

  • I didn't even ask, and she didn't offer so probably not. At the time she kept saying that she didn't think the measurement was right. I think the u/s machine was set to a different setting or something. She did tell me it wasn't pretty.

Thanks again for the input. I really appriciate it.

  • I always had thin lining.  The cycle of my BFP my lining was a 5.something a couple days before.  I took medication to help my lining: viagra, femtrace and endometrium.  Something to think about if this keeps happening.

Other things I did that I heard help were hot packs and pom juice.  You want to increase blood flow to area so I heard that orgasms also help (blush!).

    Also accupuncture.

GL!!  I know how frustrating it is.  My lining was always low.  I thought it would never happen for me... but my DD is proof you can get pregnant with thin lining.

  • My lining was at a 6.3  8dpo the cycle of our BFP, so it was even thinner than that around o time.

Good luck this cycle. You not out yet!
