We have gotten some plates as gifts, but now that DD is bigger and using more dished I need more. Do you have any recommendations for plates, bowls and cups?
I have gotten some pretty basic ones at Target near where all the baby stuff is located and also at BRU. Nothing very fancy but it works and its BPA free too!
We use Corelle Livingware. They're actually made out of glass, are dishwasher and microwave safe and are shatter resistant. The kids have dropped them so many times, and only one was nicked, and that was by me as I dropped an armful into the sink. I like them because they're more attractive than plastic, IMO and safer. Also, we have the all white ones, and they match our all white everyday dinnerware. They come in a huge variety of shapes and sizes. We have the little fruit ones for the kids to use as cereal bowls and slightly larger ones for dinner. Also small and large plates. The small plates are actually the saucers for the cups but they are the perfect size for sandwiches.
