Married 5/31/08 * TTC#1 9/09 - 2/11 after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!
IT'S A GIRL!
#2 EDD 2/5/13 dx with anti-BIG E antibody, seeing a MFM
I don't take one single minute for granted.
I was never ever allowed coffee as a child, but my best friend's grandma used to make her and her sister really diluted cafe au laits (probably 3/4 milk and 1/4 weak coffee). They loved it, it was a special treat for them and made them feel so adult! By the time I was old enough to drink coffee, I didn't like the taste at all. XD (this was before Starbucks and the cafe explosion) I didn't develop a taste for coffee until college. I'm still not a big coffee fiend, but I do enjoy a latte now and then...and only from my favorite local coffeeshop where they roast their own beans every morning and you can watch the process..I'm very picky about the flavor!
Black tea, on the other hand, I'm a huge tea freak and have been drinking it for as long as I can remember. You can thank my British granddad for that one. I used to drink several cups of black tea a day, but I developed acid reflux so now I can only have it a couple times a week or it really aggravates it. Thank goodness for rooibos!
Re: I shouldn't judge since I'm not a mom but...

DH's cousin did this with her little girl when she was 13 months... I couldn't believe it!

I would not give my DD a coffee drink, whatsoever. She's almost 3.5 and never had any soda or tea either. But to each their own.
I didn't have coffee till late into high school, possibly early college. I remember trying my grandma's and thinking it tasted gross.
