Is a yeast infection a sign?

Ok girls, I've only had a yeast infection once as a child...and I'm having some mild symptoms now. I'm only at 8 or 9 dpo and I noticed the symptoms 2 days ago. This wouldn't be a sign of pregnancy would it? I mean I really hope it is but the idea might not really make sense :) I don't really have many other pregnancy symptoms...but we did try and I'm hopeful. Has anyone had a similar experience? TIA!

  • Did you POAS? If you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough for a +HPT. I've never heard of someone getting a yeast infection during implantation, as a sign of pregnancy.

  • I haven't ever heard of that as a sign but I am not a doctor.  Try a test in a few days.  Good luck.

I'm not sure if its a sign of pregnancy, but we just found out that I was pregnant and guess what I had! A yeast infection! wooooo. Anyways, GL!

CONGRATULATIONS rpopper! That's so wonderful...so happy for you! Can I ask what you used to get rid of it? I'm a little nervous to use monistat in the small chance that I'm preg...

  • I know that durring pregnancy chances of getting one increase.  i'd call your ob, tell them you may be pregnant and ask what they think.  I did that before i got my BFP with a bladder infection and they wrote me something safe for prenancy.

  • 1.  Are you positive its a yeast infection.  If you have not had it confirmed by your OB, then it could be almost anything.

    2.  Yeast infections are very common in pregnant women, but can happen to anyone anytime, so I would not consider it a "symptom" of pregnancy.

    3.  If you are far enough along to have any symptoms, you are far enough along to test positive.

    4.  Go to your OB to get checked out and confirm a yeast infection

    5. POAS

I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...
