Hi, all. I'm Michele, I'm 29, and I've been married for 5 years this August. After a year of trying I finally got a BFP in October of 2009, only to lose that baby in a missed m/c at almost 11 weeks (baby measured close to 7 weeks) in early December. We took a couple of TTA cycles and have been TTC since.
I'm hoping that it's okay for me to come over here. I know you probably don't know me all that well, but I feel like I know many of you far better than I do the ladies on the regular TTCAL board.
Thing is, DH has been accepted into a PhD program at UCLA and we're moving in a couple of months. As a result, we've made the tough decision to TTA until at least November or December, and perhaps even later depending upon how jobs and insurance and all that break down. I think it's the right decision for us, but it stings. And, while I'm truly happy for all the BFPs that come through, I just KNOW that it's going to get increasingly difficult to see them, as a collective, pass me by and come in and out of my bump life in a cycle or two. If that makes sense.
Anyway, I don't know if I belong here necessarily. But I hope I do and I just wanted to ask. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know by saying that I think you're all pretty rad.
ETA: FF thinks I'm 9 DPO...I haven't gotten a + OPK and my temps are all over the map. I know I'm out this cycle.

Congrats on 5 years! I just came up with the perfect thing to do for DH on our five year only to find out that someone wants to do a wedding that night (I'm a planner) and so I might have to work.
Do you have any plans to celebrate yet?

I understand. I've been kind of MIA over there for about a week or so. Honestly, it isn't that I'm not thrilled for the girls as individuals, it's just hard to see the "wave" as a collective and know that so many of us either don't get to join or, even worse, have to come back.
You're awesome, Jen...thank you for the welcome.
August 27th! What about you?
Thank you!

Cool! Congrats on an upcoming anniversary to you, too!
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!

Thank you. Your pets are absolutely adorable, especially your dog (Pepper? I hope I'm remembering that right.
)
Thank you! It's always good to see a fellow Hoosier 'round here.
Whereabouts are you? I'm in Indy for the next few months and then moving to L.A. Yikes!
Of course you're welcome, dear! I was hoping you'd come spend time with us, because I always like chatting with you and I just don't spend much time on Original Recipe any longer.
And I didn't know your missed m/c was at 7 weeks. That means our babies were just about exactly the same age. I got my BFP on Oct 18, and then the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks 2 days.

Welcome! Congrats on your DH's acceptance into the PhD program and good luck on the move!
I know it is hard to watch the BFP's - especially if you are going to be TTA for while. :::hugs:::

Thank you! How are you doing with TTA til then? I go back and forth between being okay with it and being incredibly sad/down.
ETA: Sorry, this was a reply to Dondra...
Thanks! I always like chatting with you, too, and I remember that our timeline is almost identical as far as pg and then m/c. My LO measured at around 6w6d when the missed m/c was discovered, but the "lovely" on-call OB said "It's hard to tell how old it was because they shrink when they die." Awesome. Thanks for that. And now I have a new OB... but that's probably a story for another post.
Thank you! We're that nice mix of nauseous and excited with the move and all.
I appreciate your kind words. :::hugs to you, too!::::
Thank you!
Thank you for the warm welcome! You guys will be seeing a lot of me, I'm sure.
Hey Michele - I remember you. Of course you can join us. I don't venture to the TTCAL board anymore either. Sorry you have to join us, but welcome!
