I haven't posted in a while. Unfortunately my Dad passed away on June 1 after a short battle with lung cancer. Luckily, he died peacefully and at home, after a three-week hospital stay. DH, Fiona and I were on vacation when we got the news...we had been there just 14 hours...so it was a long drive back to Ohio from Savannah. I had a nice visit with my Dad before I left and he was in good spirits. It was a shock to us all that he went so fast. His brothers and sisters were flying over from N. Ireland to see him and , unfortunately, didn't make it in time. He'll be missed very much.

Fiona is keeping me busy, so that's good. She's a blessing.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Lung cancer really sucks?I lost my grandfather to it three years ago. Thankfully your father's passing was peaceful and I'm glad you had a nice visit with him before you left.

I'm so sorry about your dad Sad It's so hard losing a parent, no matter what the circumstances. I hope in time your pain is replaced with all the good memories you have of him. And what a blessing that he was able to spend some time with Princess Fiona in this last year.
