Infertility

OMG, I can't believe this board anymore!!

So few posts!! It's crazy!

I know I am contributing to the lack of posts because I am working again, but it makes me sad to see it this way.

How do we get it moving again, ladies?

  • I know, so sad!  I've been contributing also since I've been so busy at work and haven't been able to post during the day.

  • It is weird.  I have been trying to be more active.

I think PAIF and all of the BFPs lately have slowed us down.  There just don't seem to be as many of us - I guess that is a good thing.

And I think a few are taking a break from the boards.  I have those days too!

  • Well yesterday was pretty busy and then today it is so slow.  I think a lot of people are *gasp* actually working...LOL!  I know I am trying to and failing pretty miserably.

Maybe we need to do some type of getting to know you poll each day.  I think polls help but I am awful at coming up with good ones.

  • I don't post as much any more because I feel like I don't know hardly anyone any more which is great that the ladies I started with now have children.  So I don't feel like I have a lot of advice to give since I am so far gone from charting and the other things that happened so long ago. So other than support I feel like I don't have a lot of help to offer. If that makes sense.  Plus work is always busy in the summer due to the fact that there are so many on vacations & such.

  • It is much slower than I remember last time I was here. I don't have much to contribute since I'm not cycling yet. I'm sure i'll have more to say when I start.

  • Seems like the majority of our active, regular posters have moved over to PAIF.
TTC #1 since June 2008 *SAIFW*

  • Rachel, I know how you feel! After 3.5 years, I feel like I don't have much to offer either. Weird, the more "experience" I get, the less questions I seem to answer. Maybe I am jaded.

I try to cheer everyone on, but otherwise I guess I am more of a sideline poster now.

I get that, but that's not even exactly what I mean. I feel like we have become very technical, less human if that makes sense.

I know what you mean flutterby.  I think that for a long time there wasn't much turnover and everyone really got to know each other so there was a lot of NIFR chit chat.  The mass graduation included a lot of those people and they have been replaced with new people we don't know yet, alas the lack of chit chat.  I also think there are a lot of long time posters that aren't posting as much these days even though they are still going through IF.

I'm a long-timer who is guilty of not posting as much.  And I agree that today is super slow.  But I'm sure it will pick up again.  I think it goes in spurts.

  • I post and respond in spurts, but I don't have a lot to contribute when it comes to IVF (although I'm trying to learn what I can incase I go through it myself in the future).  Also, I always find it really difficult for some reason to keep up with who's who on this board, so I feel like I don't get the personal connection that some of you all seem to have.  I really do wish for the best for everyone, but sometimes I feel like a phony because I can't keep all the individuals straight to save my life! :-P
  • There are those of us that have been forced into breaks and life gets in the way. When I was working, my company became super nasty and it was backstabbing left and right so I didn't dare do anything that could be construed as not working. Oh well, still ended up being laid off, lol. That plus us buying the house and renovating and moving and being on break TTC wise led me to not be on hardly ever. I'm sure more people will be on more regularly as time goes on.

I feel very similar. I too have a hard time keeping everyone straight... and I feel bad for that!

I haven't been posting much lately because work has gotten in the way and also because I was worried about how down and obsessed I was being over IF.  The boards make me focus on it and empathize and sympathize and get myself all worked up emotionally and sometimes I need a break from that.  But I'm peeking in more and more now that we're gearing up for a FET cycle.
