Can you tell me what types of settings you were using on your camera for your siggy pic? (Or in general, for an "into the sun" type of shot?)
I just got my Rebel T1i and I'm so thrilled to be getting back into photography (I used to be a film SLR gal in college-but this is a new ball-game with digital!)
TIA!

Ashley's settings will only be helpful if the light you're using is very similar, you know?
Happy shooting!
Thanks, Gals!!!
After I posted this I thought that I should have included you, too, Morgan!!!
Okay, here's my settings:
SS: 1/2000, F/1.8, ISO 100
It was actually a bit underexposed, I could have definitely upped my ISO or lowered my SS. I shoot in RAW though so it was an easy fix (though I try to nail in camera rather than fixing it afterward -- I struggle with backlighting though)
I took this photo around 7:00pm -- my favorite time to shoot this time of year.
Good luck! Hope this helped
Thanks so much! At least it will give me ideas of what to play with
You shoot in RAW?!?! I'm impressed- that is a ton of work from what I hear! (But well worth it, I'm sure!)
I find RAW to be less work as it gives me more control over my images.
Definitely. It's way less work!
I was so mad at myself because I shot 99% of Morgan's maternity session in JPEG and it took me way longer to edit because I think it's so much faster to edit in RAW than in JPEG in Photoshop.
