Parenting after 35

1 AF in an entire year??!!

(i have reduced nursing to two to three times a day a couple months ago, so  I know this is not the culprit)

i think it may be a good thing I decided our family is complete because it is not looking good for other options anyway! I was peri menopausal when Orchid was conceived so maybe my body remembered where it left off...? All the women in my family had to have complete hysterectomies ... the oldest was 35. My sister and I have beat them all! Though she has had cervical cancer for years. Anyway, my point is that I dunno when the average menopausal age is for my family.

anyone else?

Re: 1 AF in an entire year??!!

  • My grandmother went through early menopause at 35.  My mom had a hystercectomy at 34, I think.  I have no other older women who are blood relatives in my family.  So like you, I really don't know.  Huh?

My mom was pushing 50 when she went through menopause, but she's the only girl in her family so she's the only history I have.
  • My mom was right around 50 as was my oldest sister, and I think my second-oldest sister is going through it now at 49.  Who knows, though!
