could have had a nice ICPC wait

Well it could have been awesome I just found out that our baby will be born in a hospital on the gulf coast. so we could have spent our 10 days in florida relaxing on the beach or at least had a pretty view from our room, but now i get to look at the oil spill well guess it will save us money i dont need a beach front hotel or even a hotel with a view. I sure dont want to stare at it. :( oh well could have been nice. at least the rates will be cheap

  • Honestly, depending on where in FL you may still get gorgeous views.  The oil is only in the panhandle of Florida.  It is no where near most of the coastline at this point.

we will be at Fort Walton Beach which is in the pan handle almost to Alabama. We will be right in the heart of the mess.  :(

  • Look at it this way -- you could explore other parts of Florida besides the beach....  (I'm trying to be positive.  I'm in Louisiana, and everyone here seems to be affected by the spill in one way or another.  It's awful.)
  • I'm sorry. :-(  But look at it this way--you'll be stimulating their economy by eating out, etc.  I'm sure they need the business.

  • I'm sorry.. but like kmkaul said, there is so much to do in that area, i'm sure you will still be able to enjoy yourselves.
  • And you get to have a baby!  I'm sure the view will be the least of your concerns during that time.
