TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

AF concerns

For those of you who have gone to an RE (or has a doctor who actually gives good info), have any of them been concerned with light periods?  Mine said that as long as my periods are regular, she's not concerned about the flow).  Mine are very light, maybe three days and it have never been as heavy as it was pre-birth control.  Anyone else in the same boat? Any docs concered about it?

My periods used to be about 7 days and horrible . I have Stage IV endometriosis. After I lost all my weight my cycles went to about 3-4 days and not very heavy or painful like they were. My only guess for that was losing the weight . I wish I had an answer but I am sure there are many people who have light periods and it isn't a problem.GL!

  • I think that as long as your period is regular you're ok. Some people just have lighter AF's then others. Mine used to be light, but after my m/c's it got increasingly heavier. Have you talked to your RE about it?

  • Your cycle can change throughout your life, especially after you go off birth control, give birth, have a miscarriage, etc.  Mine were different after my miscarriage, and then they've changed again since I had my laparoscopy surgery (removal of polyps and endo got rid of my pre-AF spotting).  As long as your dr isn't worried about it, I wouldn't worry about it.  I tend to have more faith in my RE than my OB, so he was ok with it, I would be too.

  • im currently seeing an RE and he's always been more interested in the regularity of it vs the heaviness. ....he is happy as long as Im having bright red flow and mine  is moderate red flow two days and then tapers off to almost nothing on CD3 and maybe some brown discharge the end of cd3 - cd4.

I would mention any concerns you have to her again until you're satisfied with the answer.  GL!
  • Thanks guys! Just wish I could see inside my body and see if everything is working right!
