I was induced at 39 (by ultrasound by our estimations of when we think we concieved it was 37 weeks) because of pre-eclampsyia concerns. I delivered vaginally. I intended to go natural but knew that because I was being induced that might not happen. I ended up getting an epidural but I waited a long time which I think helped. After the epidural I went from 6 cm before to 9.9 (a lip) 15 min. after it started working.
I was 41 weeks. I was induced because my doctor strongly recommended I not wait any longer. I delivered vaginally. I did not want to go natural, I got an epidural.
Since I had already had a vaginal birth, my doctor reassured me that ending up with a c-section was less likely than if it was my first time.
Technically I was induced...but that was because my water broke and I didn't go into labor on my own. They put me on pitocin to get my contractions started.
This at 38w5days. I ended up with a c-section after about 30 hours of broken water, 2 bags of pitocin and only 1.5 cm dialated. I was DONE and glad to get it over with.
38.5 weeks. Induced due to gestational diabetes. I delivered vaginally. I was able to go natural if I wanted, and I did up until a point when I caved for the epi (which failed anyway). They were all very incouraging and supporitve of my going natural and tried to talk me out of the epi.

I was induced on my due date because my water broke and after 8 hours I had no progress at all. I ended delivering vaginally with no meds other than the pitocin and a dose or two or nausea meds because I was throwing up like it was going out of style.
I was 38w 6d when admitted to start cervadil, which I ended up not needing because I was in early labor already. Labor stopped overnight, and pitocin started at 6am (39w). It was medically necessary due to IUGR. At 11am I got the epi - I didn't want one but I didn't have any resting time between contractions. DD was born vaginally at 2:10 after pushing for about an hour.

I was induced at 38w5d because of GD. I delivered vaginally and my labor/delivery was fast and easy. I opted for an epi-but I never considered natural at all.
1st pregnancy: m/c began 1/12/09 d&c 1/13/09 8wks. Baby stopped growing at about 6wks.
I was induced with Pitocin around 38 weeks due to Cholestasis of pregnancy and a DVT. I delivered vaginally with no pain meds and my labor was about 36 hours.
With ds#1 I was induced at 38 wks 3days for high BP. I was an ongoing battle for a few weeks and my OB felt it was best for everyone to deliver me that day. I was 2-3 cm and 70% effaced at my dr's appt that day. I delivered vaginally and a c-section never even came up.
With ds#2 they called it an "augmentation" and not an induction. I went to my 39 wk appt and I was leaking fluid. I was already 4cm. I delivered vaginally and got an epi.
Why did you get one? OB was estimating a big baby and I had no progression (maybe 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced?).
Did you end up having a c-section or deliver vaginally? Vaginal birth
If you wanted to go naturally were you able to? I didn't want to go natural. They did three doses of Cytotec starting at 7 pm ending at 6 am the next morning. Pitocin was started at 9 am. I got a dose of Stadol at about 3 pm, they broke my water at 6:30 pm and I got my epi at 7pm. She finally came at midnight.
I REALLY REALLY hope to go naturally on my own with this next one. Induction sucks.

How many weeks were you? Why did you get one? did you end up having a c-section or deliver vaginally? and if you wanted to go naturally were you able to?
I was 41 weeks exactly. My water broke but labor didn't start on its own. I ended up getting an epidural because Pitocin majorly sucks, but thanks to that, I was able to have a vaginal delivery.

I was induced at 40 weeks just because. Seriously.
Induction failed, and I ended up getting a c-section after 33 hours.
Next time we will be going straight to surgery.

Induced with DS#1 at 38 weeks due to continuous pre-term labor. Delivered vaginally with no pain meds.
Labored 100% naturally with DS#2. Water broke. No inducing meds. Delivered vaginally with no pain meds.
Induced with DD at 33 weeks. My water ruptured and was getting a infection due to it. Delivered vaginally with no pain meds.
So...while I was technically induced twice, I was able to have no pain meds (like I wanted) all 3 times.
