Is it too soon to tell? Should they look different by now if they're fraternal? My girls are 6wks today and we still have a very hard time telling them apart.

i don't like to make my determination (hee hee) until i see more pictures. do you have any more? and look at their ears. if they're ears are identical, chances are so is the rest of them.

Never heard this before! One of the ways that we can tell our girls apart is that Grace has a little wrinkle in the top of her ear that Mary doesn't have! ; ) (It's actually our only backup way to tell... it's the only thing obviously different about them.)

That's hilarious! Lila has a little wrinkle on her left ear and that's how we tell them apart! I'll post more pics when they aren't screaming.

well, what about their ears other than that wrinkle? the boys each had a dimple/crease at the top of their ears, and that tipped me off (before the DNA test.)
i'd think it's less about wrinkles, though, and more about overall shape.
Just lurking and thought I'd throw it out there that the Olsen twins are fraternal and look identical... so they may be that
I seriously think that they say that to seem more interesting because I've never seen siblings that look so much alike you think they're identical twins. Ever. All my babies have looked different. They all have really similar features but they don't look like a mirror image of any of the others.
Mom to six awesome kids - Levi is 12, Landen is 8, Gabrielle is 6, Lucas is 3, and Oliver and Samuel are 2 years old. Love my crew.
Re: identical or fraternal?
They look ID to me, but I'm not pea-kay.
ETA: My frats looked different when they were born.
hee hee! you guys are silly.
