For a week or so, anyway! We wanted just two kids but wanted them close together. Hadn't expected them to be THIS close together but I guess I should know by now what causes that to happen, right?
I have a few questions!
A) Anyone else have kids this close together? Are you still sane?
We are just about to pay off our PT Cruiser and really don't want to get a new car... think we can do it with a PT or do we need to just find a way to make a new car happen?
C) Speaking of that... Anyone have a recommendation for a moderately-priced but slim (very-slim)-folding double stroller?
D) Recommendations for a large, preferably back-pack style, diaper bag? I have a semi-large one for DS right now but it's jam-packed. Should I get TWO bags or just one large one?
Anything else I'm not thinking of that I need to add to my list of to-buy's or to-do's?
Thanks!!

You will be FINE with a PT Cruiser don't get a bigger car.

Graco has a few that are good.....the one I have is a little pricey but I do love it its the Peg Perego Aria double

I have nothing for this one!
Good luck sweetie you CAN do it!

Congrats!
As for strollers, we love, love, love this one for a double stroller. It folds up well, is super adjustable, and really easy to maneuver - especially through doors and in public spaces.
It's not what I would call "moderately priced", but I think it's worth the money. (We had some friends who gave us their old one, so free is a great price - ha!) But having bought a cheapo stroller for our first, I would definitely fork over the money for the difference now.
Yup, 10.5 months apart! We were two under one for a bit . . . DD#2 was a month early. Originally, they were supposed to be 11.5 months apart.
I'm still sane and happy, but I've had to make sure to take time for myself in order for this to be. I try to get out a few times a week to do something for me whether it's shop or exercise. I've also realized that I can't be super mom and things get done when they get done. I've given up on my dream of a really clean home all the time with two babies.
As for a stroller, I've liked my Combi double. It's very light and easy to fold up.
I didn't get another or a bigger diaper bag. I bought a small back pack for my toddler. But really, I've been able to manage okay with one diaper bag.
thanks for all the great responses!
Congrats! My LOs are going to be 12.5 months apart so it's nice to see someone as crazy as myself.
Honestly, I have a mazda 3 and we can fit 2 carseats in it so you should be fine with a PT cruiser. Combi even makes a double stroller that's really compact. I'm not sure what model it is, but it's at BRU right now and it folds down even smaller than my graco metrolite that fits just fine in my car! We have paid off cars as well so don't want to get into car payments. I figure if we ever want to take a long road trip, my dad can get us a really cheap discount at enterprise so we'll just rent something bigger. Much cheaper than getting a new car!
GL!
Add another one to the "crazy" category! Mine will most likely be 13 months apart (since I had a situation that will likely happen again causing the LO to be induced early).
Glad to be on yet another board with you, Kim!
A) mine aren't that close together. I can imagine that those first couple of months will be hard if your older one can't walk yet.
agree with PP, we have a Civic and a Coralla (sp?) they are both fine. I have even gone on long trips with them.
C) we have a graco metrolite. It is pretty cheap (I think we got it for about $50 at OUAC). It folds up small if you take one of the trays and the canopies off, which is very easy to do. It does take two hands to steer and I wouldn't take it off the beaten path, but it works well for our suburban uses.
D) I have two diaper bags because they are in seperate rooms at daycare. I agree with PP though. You will start carrying less and less and you won't need the bigger diaper bag.
Your girls are absolutely adorable! What an amazing blessing!
Ditto, to you and Congrats!!
mine are 2 under 1.... at least until sunday. i'm not sure if my tickers are correct, ds#1 will be 1 on sunday and #2 is 3 weeks today. it i very hard to stay sane, i think if #1 could walk things would be a little easier. the car thing i can't help. my car is paid off (07 mustang gt conv.) definately not kid friendly... i would say take measurements to make sure the carseat fits, before you buy it. i am now stuck driving my dads tacoma because the graco myride 65 doesn't fit rear facing in the mustang!! i have the baby trend sit & stand... with optional normal stroller seat for the back. $120-150 for the stroller, $80 for the matching carseat. i don't think 2 diaperbags are necessary... regular size should be fine, as long as your organized! also we def needed a 2ns crib.
good luck!
