Omaha Steaks

Has anyone ever ordered from there before?  We have something through work called Working Advantage that sends us emails occasionally with "deals" from various companies.  I got one from Omaha Steaks with a Father's Day deal that sounds pretty good.  I just went on the their site and added a few more items to make up about 2 week's worth of dinners and it still only came to $99.  I definitely spend more than that at the grocery store.  I just thought it would be good to have on hand for the weeks after the baby arrives.  The only downside is that it's going to take up a lot of room in our freezer.  For this reason, I'm going to log back on the 20th (when this Father's Day promotion expires) so that it arrives as late as possible.  Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences with them?

We recieved a sampler package as a thank you gift ffrom one of DH's friends and loved it. The twiced baked potatos are amazing.  The quality was really good, it was pacakged really well, labeled clearly, and I believe there was a guarentee of some sort.  It also came with a cook book/ tips and storage/ defrosting directions.  We really loved every thing except for the chicken breast and hot dogs, which I am super picky about, and would rate as just okay.

But if you are getting a deal and can make the space, it is definitely worth trying IMO.

We ordered Omaha Steaks for the ILs this past Christmas.  They are big into quality steaks and she said all the meat was really good.  They do 3 freezers at their house so storage wasn't an issue for them.  I remember that they shipped really quickly too so I agree with you about ordering the latest possible for the promotion.

I like the idea, I just don't imagine myself actually cooking in those first few weeks. My plan is to freeze things I can just easily reheat and eat.

We love Omaha Steaks.  Their meat is very good quality and we've liked everything we've ordered from them.  I like that their chicken breasts are individually wrapped so we can thaw just a couple for dinner and not have tons leftover.  I would definitely recommend them!
