We got DD the Earth's Best teething biscuits. It says 9 months + on the box. We gave her half a biscuit last night and watched her eat it the entire time. It looks like it dissolves into mush while she eats it. Really messy and gross but she really likes it. Like with anything your LO eats you should be supervising the feeding anyways.
We started them this week and she is just getting her first tooth right now. No mesh feeder needed just watch LO to make sure they don't break a huge chunk in their mouth. They pretty much dissolve to mush and are verrrryyy messy.

WE bought them and gave JAck one yesterday. He bit a huge piece off and we could not get it out of his mouth. Then he started choking. Thank God my husband was then able to pull it out of his throat.
It was awful. I will never use those again.

We bought them and Tegan seems to like them, but they are really messy and she has bitten off a big chunk before and it makes me nervous, so I watch her very carefully. I really like the mum-mums more because they dissolve much more quickly.

I made them myself at around 6 months with a recipe from wholesomebabyfood.com
I would not use the mesh feeder. Just watch and if your LO is not ready for chewing and finger foods yet then wait an give them later.
We tried the mum-mums but they just broke into pieces that were of dangerous size.
I gave Nate an Arrowroot last week and that went much better.
