Narrowing it down ... need suggestions

Honda as an EX 2WD or Forester 2XE (entry level) - both about the same price

both about the same price, CR-V would have privacy glass in the back- not Subaru.

  • I am a Honda girl all the way although the Subarus are very highly rated.   But just from looks standpoint, the CR-V is way cuter, IMO!  And Hondas last FOREVER!

I agree, I've owned 3 different Hondas and have LOVED every one of them.  They are extremely reliable and if there ever is a major problem, they fix it right away.   I don't know much about Subaru's so I can't comment, sorry...

  • I LOVE my CR-V!  We have a CR-V and a Civic.  I've had the CR-V since Nov 2002 and have never had any problems with it (80k+ miles).  I love driving it and I love how spacious it is without being a boat.  When it's time to replace this one, I'll get another CR-V without a doubt.

  • Definitely the Honda... good luck!

  • OK, I am completely a subaru gal so think the forester is a no brainer.  But a question, since we are now going through this, how do car seats, especially convertible ones, fit in each of the two vehicles?!
  • We have the infant car seat in the CR-V, and it fits fine in the middle of the back seat.

We have a convertable in the Civic...not so good.  When we take the Civic, DH has to drive because there isn't enough leg room for him in the passenger seat.  I am 5' 6.5"

  • Thanks for your opinions! I am going with the Honda CR-V b/c of more cargo space and more features for the money I haggled down to.
