Convertible/Booster Seats up to 120 lbs?!

I know height and age are factors, but that's what I weighed in high school and I had friends that weighed much less and still do!  Does that mean that they need a booster seat?!?!?!

;)

  • Wow. Maybe it has to do with the possibility of kids being obese but still too young to ride without a booster seat? That's all I can think of. But seriously. 120 pounds?

  • Before I had kids, I had never broken 100 lbs in my life.  And I am only 5 feet tall. Technically, I should probably be in a booster seat! LMAO!
  • In some states, you have to stay in a booster seat until you are a certain weight, or 12 years old.  I know my cousin (she's turning 13 today) had to ride in the booster seat up until she turned 12 b/c she's so little.  That's in PA though.  I bet that they make the booster seats w/ such a high weight limit due to requirements in certain states... it's easier than making a different model for each state's different requirements.

I'm just glad it wasn't like that when I was a kid.  I was 5'4" by the time I was 9 years old... I would have never fit in one of those booster seats, lol.

  • The stroller guy at BBB mentioned that in Washington kids had to use a booster up to 120 lbs.  So, you're right, they probably make them so that they can sell them in all states.
  • I was 120 pounds until I got pregnant does that mean I need a booster seat!
