Aaron is 10 months old today.
It took him that long to get diaper rash. And it's BAD. Really bad. I don't know if I should blame the Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max or just the heat and a LOT of poop. But his poor little tush is raw and actually bleeding in spots.
I'm taking him to the pedi tomorrow morning just to make sure it's not worse than it looks (and it looks bad). He's fussy and he cries and screams when I change his diaper. ![]()

But he was all cute and fun when I took his monthly pics this morning. Here are a couple of them (and one is in my sig).

Re: 10 Months: Thus far not fun

HAPPY 10 MONTHS little man!!!
awww man, poor little guy, I know how it feels. We had to deal with that for the first time last month. Doc gave him an ointment, but I found that regular old conrstarch helped more. So I used both for a while and now only use the J&J cornstarch and his bum is all clear now! Good luck tomo and I really hope it clears up quickly...

Happy 1o months Aaron and awesome pics!! I hope your tushy gets better very soon BIG (((HUGS))))
Oh, poor little bum!
C had his first bout of diaper rash a few weeks ago and it was really bad, too. Came out of nowhere. I think it was teething, since he popped out a top tooth right at the same time and had some nasty diahhrea. I used Max Strength Desitin with 40% zinc oxide and just thickly coated his whole butt with it every time he had a diaper change. It took about a week and a half to get rid of, and he's still slightly red, but MUCH improved.

Oh my - that rash sounds so painful! Hope you can find some relief REAL soon!
Happy ten months Aaron - I don't think you could get any cuter!
Thanks, guys.
He was much happier this morning. But then he pooped 3 times...
I called the pedi and they called in a Rx to the pharmacy (antibiotic ointment) and I put that all over tonight. I'll take him there tomorrow at 8 am (they have walk-ins) when they open.
As for the Pampers issue... I don't know if it's the cause or if it is the frequent bowel movements or even his time in the pool yesterday morning. It could be all of the above. But I returned an unopened value box to BRU today and I may return the other box I have, which has about 3/4 of the diapers left. (The manager said they'd take it back.)
I got a box of Baby Dry (free... from Rewards R Us) to hold me over. I think I'll try the Huggies Little Movers when they run out. Thus far I'm still using the Pampers Extra Protection at night since I don't think it has Dry Max (I googled). But this has left a bad taste in my mouth re: Pampers.

OMG he is so adorable! Not sure if you have tried Up & Up diapers. I love them! And, as for the rash, H had a really bad rash when she had a bout of diarreah (sp) because of teething. My MIL suggested I let her lay in her crib naked (I put her on a waterproof pad) and it really did help a lot! And she seemed to really enjoy it!
GL!
Happy Belated 10 months Aaron! Sorry I missed it my mom was crazy busy yesterday afternoon. Hope you forgive us? Love, Harrison
Aww poor little man. Hope the Dr this monring helped. If it makes you feel better DC was saying all the little guys are getting bad rashes because of the heat. H actually had a really bad one this weekend. But I think his was because of bad teething poops. Any product with cornstarch doesn't work for H it makes it a 100X worse. But a little Nystain (precription cream) and natural Butt paste does wonders.
Let us know how it goes.
Poor little guy. I second the above suggestion (my mom passed it on to me) and it's even better if the crib is under a window and some sunlight can hit it.
I was a die hard Pampers Cruiser user and we switched. The whole thing has freaked me out. Still haven't found anything I like but we are working on it.
I second Triple Paste, the stuff is amazing. Finny had a bleeding diaper rash the other day and it cleared up in a day and a half. I love that stuff. Hope his tush feels better soon.
Happy 10 months, cutie pie!
Sorry about his poor lil hiney! Have you ever tried Aveeno oatmeal for the bath? I really like that stuff. Is done wonders with really raw angry rashes. Hope he feels better!

Just catching up...
I LOVE the pic of Aaron talking to Tigger! He is so insanely cute.
Man, I am sorry about the rash, though. It makes me wince just thinking about it. Bleeding? Poor little guy. I hope it clears up soon.
Aw. I sure hope he's all cleared of his rash by now! I can definitely understand how you'd be worried about using Pampers w/ Dry Max due to all the comments going around. I actually work at Pampers and want to let you know that our Dry Max diapers are made with the same types of ingredients and materials as our previous version. Though lots of moms are happily using Dry Max, we want and need to know about any negative experiences. Hope you'll give us a call at 1-877-256-3265 when you get a chance. Thanks.
