Period is 7 days late...still getting negative preg test

Has this ever happened to anyone and then found out you were pregnant?

I'm freaking out here! I have never been this late before, I don't know what to do. I did a pregnancy test 4 days after my missed period and then again at 6 days after and its still negative, I don't know what to think.

Someone please respond and help!!

Unless you are charting you don't know if you are actually late.

You are not pregnant, or you are pregnant but it is too early to show up on an HPT (which would mean you ovulated late).

Your period is not late. If it was 7 days late, you would have tested positive by now. You likely ovulated later than usual (or not at all). Check out FF (you can get there through anyone's ticker) and start charting. Then you won't have to go through this again. GL!

Unless you chart your temps and know for a fact exactly when you ovulated you can't know you are late.

You may have just ovulated late. Are you charting? It is highly recommended around here. Fertility friend is a good one and you can sign up through most tickers.

I have never had this happen. I believe the advice that is typically test once a week and call your doc if you hit 60 days. Good luck.

Even the most regular ladies occasionally have a weird cycle. You may have ovulated late this cycle, so now your period is "late" according to your usual schedule. If you want to keep track of when you ovulate, you should chart your temperatures and/or use OPKs.

Last cycle my period arrived almost a week and a half later than normal, and I was not pregnant.

I went through the same thing last cycle. I was 20 days "late" and still got BFN's. Turns out it was just a wack cycle. Really encouraged me to start charting.

The ladies are correct. I was 10 days "late" for my most recent period, the latest I have ever been since I was 12. I don't chart but I do check CM(not accurate enough). I assumed I knew when I ovulated and was pretty sure I would get a bfp, but I didnt.

I either ovulated late or being on antibiotics may have messed up my cycle. I actually had a gyn appt on day 7 of being late and they tested and it was negative. I waited patiently and on day 10 my period showed up. It happens to the most "regular" girls.

This just happened to me. AF came 5 days later than last month. My temps were still up too until finally they dropped and AF came that very same day. Did you just come off BC? I did in March and they say your cycles can be all over coming off BC. Start charting it will really help!

Ditto what a lot of PPs said. If I were not charting I would think that my period was 17 days late & would be getting negative PG tests. You can look at my chart and see that I haven't O'd so no chance of actually being late or PG for that matter. You might be in a similar situation and may have O'd late or not at all. HTH & GL
