maybe try the local firehalls in or around the area where you are looking to have the shower...they usually are nicer closer to the city and allow you to bring your own food.

We had ours at the Chapel Shelter at Riverview Park. It's a nice indoor facility with tables, chairs, and a full kitchen. Holds about 50 people. Although if you're planning to have your shower soon, it may not work because the city holds a lottery for all city residents on one day in the end of March to rent out their park spaces. (non city residents can reserve starting the following weekend, but the best dates will be booked). It took us 5 hours of waiting at the City County building to reserve the chapel and about $300, but it was worth it. It was a perfect space for the event. There may be some weekdays available at this point, but I'm guessing all weekends will be booked. Good luck!
I got married at Avonworth park and that's a GREAT space! However, I'm not wanting to spend that much for a shower location.
I think we're going to go with Mt. Lebanon Rec Center - they have a space that's $35/hour with a kitchen and they supply tables and chairs. You don't have to be a resident to reserve it. I'm going to go check it out on Thursday - hopefully we can decorate it and make it work...
