Some ramblings/updates and shower pictures

Its 11:00 on my first day back at work and I'm already ready for a nap!  I didn't get nearly as much sleep last night as I had hoped   I also got a call from the hubby that the little one has been screaming ever since I left for work this morning.  I'm sure DH will figure it out, but this is definitely a big adjustment for him.  The lack of sleep makes it even harder.  We're really looking forward to the day that Logan sleeps through the night!

Logan's baby shower was on Saturday and we had so much fun.  Some pictures are below.  Everyone just loved holding him.  We were touched by some of the gifts, like a beautiful children's bible with his name engraved on the cover and several handmade blankets.

I sent some shower pictures to the birth mom, and this is the first contact we've had since she checked herself out of the hospital just a few hours after giving birth.  I did email her one other time and she never responded.  I was worried that maybe she would disappear and not communicate because she was in such a hurry to leave the hospital and seemed very disconnected from the entire situation.  She didn't seem sad or spend time holding him.  Anyway, I was very happy that she responded to the email and she is thrilled that he is so loved and looks so good.  She even requested a few more pictures, which I sent right away.

The first picture is Logan at the shower with my six year old twin cousins, who are so in love with him.

The cake and cake table was decorated with bath squirtees, which the host washed off and gave to us after the shower.  Such a cute idea!
