Charlie talks in his sleep. I have finally come to this conclusion. He yells momma over and over again and I go in there and he's asleep. His new thing to yell is momma or dadda ball. What do I do? I'm so tired of getting up and going in there time and time again thinking he really needs me. This will go on for like 2 minutes so it's not like it's just a 1 time call out for me.
I talk in my sleep also but it doesn't wake me up :-)

I love our video monitor because of this. A lot of times, Elizabeth cries out when turning over and then goes right back to sleep. It's nice to just check on her with the monitor and not get out of bed.
ETA: Oops, didn't see your reply about going monitor-free.
Actually I think the video monitor is even more useful in Sean's big boy room, because I can see him playing or sleeping and he still has the independence. You can move your old monitor to DD room.

Lilah has just started this too, she cries a bit with it. We wait it out a few minutes before checking on her. Most of the time she quiets right back down.
Totally agree with everyone else!
The video monitor (in my opinion....) has been way more useful now than as a baby. I can see if he's awake, sitting up, etc.
If he is laying down, I don't go in.
We haven't moved C to a big boy bed yet, but when we do this summer, I still plan on using the monitor and I think it will be necessary since I'm sure he will be up and out of bed a million times! LOL!
If he needed you from his big boy bed, would he be able to come and get you? Going monitor free, would you still hear him call out? It sounds so mean, but could you ignore it from far away?
I re-read that and it sounds horrible.
