I am the oldest of 4, my younger brother is only 5(long story my dad had kidney cancer and after all the chemo his dr's said he wouldn't be able to have anymore kids, surprise my little brother arrived) yesterday he was at our new house for a big family bbq. Usually he is always all over my dh to play with him, yesterday for some reason he only wanted me. I don't know how my parents explained my loss to him and he hasn't said anything to me until yesterday. Yesterday he asked if I had babies in my belly and when I said no he asked if my dog came out of my belly. It was so sad and almost made me cry. Next time we get pregnant I am going to make sure we don't say anything to him for as long as we can.

I am so, so sorry honey. It's hard, with the little ones, they just don't understand.
My niece is very curious about our babies, and I agree - for her sake and ours, I think it would be best to just keep it quiet until we are further along.
