clothes sizes

I know this was asked not long ago, but I can't find the post and can't remember the answer.

I know there is newborn, 3 months, 6 months, etc., so what are the following?

0-3 months (I guess this is 3 months)

3-6 months (I guess this is 6 months)

6-9 months (I guess this is 9 months)

Is my thinking correct?

I guess that is the deal.  I haven't quite figured it out myself, though!  I also look at the pounds for each size. 

I also know that Gap runs pretty true to size, while Old Navy runs small- I always get a size up.  Gerber onesies are also small!

I wouldn't rely so much on the sizes. Marcos is only 6 months old and is already in 12-18 month clothes because he is so chunky. I would recommend not buying too far ahead because you never know how big they will be by then (am I making sense?)

This exactly. Alexa is still in 3-6 month clothing and I had bought so many sweaters that its to warm out for now that are still too big.

I was told that 3 mos will fit in between 0-3 and 3-6. So far that has been mostly true, but B is currently wearing both 0-3 and 3 mos clothes. I would also say go by the pounds, some brands fit smaller than others. Regular Carters is bigger than the carters from target. I have also noticed that some are cut more short and fat, and some are long and skinny.

I would say get a bunch of every size clothes.  K wore NB clothes until a couple weeks ago and she still fits some of her NB clothes.  She is wearing 0-3mos now and I think she will be here for a while.  I also look at the poundage on the clothes.  It seems to be more accurate than the months.
