My friend that referred me to him said he's really easy going and laid back.  Do you think this as well?

She said he's also cute ;-)

Yes.  But, he's also very proactive.  Having a twin pregnancy, I was a little higher risk.  He was very diligent about getting me in to see a perinatologist as well, and proactive about preventing preterm labor without being at all alarmist.  He keeps up to date on new studies, etc., to make sure you're getting the best care possible.

He's very good at explaining things to patients without being condescending.  He's extremely empathetic, too.

During my pregnancy, I had an ultrasound at each visit.  Now, I'm not sure this is standard with all pregnancies for him, but I know it's been the case with several friends with singletons as well.

He would call me to check in on the weekends towards the end of my pregnancy, and at any point when there had been anything at all unusual going on.

He gives patients his email address, and is very, very good at returning emails within the day.  He always calls personally with any test results.

I rarely had to wait more than 20 minutes in his office.

When I told my dad, who is also an OB/GYN, the level of personal service I receive from Ramos, he was flabbergasted. 

I also like him because he's a very actively involved dad.  He and his wife both are doctors at OGA, and they seem to split up childcare responsibilities pretty evenly.  The feminist in me appreciated that a lot.

And yes, he is easy on the eyes.

He sounds great! I'm glad to hear he's not an alarmist. That's the total opposite of what I want. I'm not a huge question asker and neither is my friend that uses him. She said he was good about letting you know the important stuff that you needed to know and didn't freak/stress her out.

I loved my doc in The Woodlands but he was just way too far away now. =(  He was very relaxed and exactly what I wanted/needed.  It makes me nervous finding someone new.
