Since we were talking about reading that the sippy cup should be introduced at 6 months, I was reading a few things last night (baby 411 or what to expect in the first year) that concerned me:
- sound machines should not be used after the first few months because it does something with the hearing. Seriously??? If this is the case I am screwed since H has always fallen asleep to the sound of rain. This was not done on purpose but I have always fallen asleep with a sound machine because DH and the dogs snore and H just got used to it when he was in my room.
- Babies should wave by 9 months. Is this true ladies? Does your LO wave? H sticks his hand out and twists it but I don't think its a wave.
OK, maybe I shouldn't be so concerned but I thought I should check in with you ladies.
Re: Reading in a book...
Well, Aaron's been waving since he was 7 months old ... but I wouldn't worry if H isn't yet.
As for the sound machine, we still use the Sleep Sheep every night on heartbeat mode.
