Vent (not TTCAL related)

I hope you don't mind ... I need to vent for a moment. I went to a laundrymat here in Germany today. Thought I'd be a good wife and wash DH's clothes (he is here for 2 weeks for work). Aside from the fact that our clothes do not smell clean (and I used a lot of soap) it took 2.5 hours for them to dry ... which they never fully did. Then I went to pay and the guy charged me 10 euro!! Seriously?? For one load of laundry and a dryer that never dried our clothes??? I now have shirts, socks, underwear, etc. lying all over our hotel room and out on the balcony. Friggin' eh!! Oh and the maids just walked in and are looking around dismayed! --- ok so maybe it's a little funny!

Sorry about the laundry experience.  Hope you are able to enjoy Germany despite it being a business trip.  Sometimes its moments like those that make you appreciate what you have back home.  I know I hated the inconviences of my European travels while in the Navy, but once I returned home and reflected on my experience...I wouldn't change a thing.  Have fun!

Ugh annoying. When we were in Dubai, we needed to wash a load of clothes and there was a washer in our hotel. It was so hard to use and did not work well. Such a pita!
