DH is in IT, though in a much different setting, and he says it's likely a couple guys in the basement who get paid crap and really don't care if the boards work because they probably have to take care of everything else IT related at the Bump (worker computer issues, servers, etc. etc. etc.)
He also said that some of the issues that have been going on (I biitched to him when I was locked out) might be nothing more than a tiny line of code that's effed up, and it takes time to find and fix even the simplest thing. I've seen him spend a lot of time working on issues that sound like they should be really easy to fix, but they're not.
As annoying as it is, just be thankful the boards are here at all. They're free, and most of the time they work relatively well. So we can't properly block annoying people and *gasp* we have to click the "check PM" link instead of getting emails to tell us, but hey, we still have the ability to complain about it! And I say this having been on the receiving end of a LOT of the Knot/Nest/Bump's issues in the past five years.
Contemplating the snow.

I agree . . . they're free, so it's hard to b*tch too much!
