TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

That makes three places I can't buy pee sticks at anymore...

Walgreens - off because I went there for my flu shot when I was Pregnant w/ Pumpkin, and filled out a sticker that said "I am getting this for Pumpkin!" It's still up on the wall. Just kill me.

Osco Drug - everytime I buy sticks there, the cashier says "I hope you get the answer you are hoping for." Which is very nice and all, but please don't comment on the pee sticks. Let's both pretend I am buying gum.

And now the CVS: The cashier asked me how many days past ovulation I am (Indifferent) and then lectured me on testing too early.

So, by process of elimnation, Target will now be the sole recipient of my pee stick money.

Re: That makes three places I can't buy pee sticks at anymore...

  • Oh, that sucks. I hate it when people comment on what you are buying, grr.

  • Those are some nosy effing cashiers! Thankfully the delinquent teens at my drug stores are too bored by their jobs to notice what I buy.

Why don't you buy online? Or better yet, why don't I just sent you the 6 pee sticks that have been sitting uselessly in my medicine cabinet since November? Since I doubt I'll be using them before they expire in July 2011.

  • This is why I buy online. I know they're judging my ordering in bulk... but at least I don't have to look them in the eye when they judge.
  • DPO?!?  You've got to be kidding me.

This is the only reason I go to Walmart or the grocery store for my HPTs.  Self checkout FTW.

  • I live in a very small town. There is one Target in a 30 mile radius. FOUR of my students works there. Plus, I see everyone and their cousin every time I go. I literally sweat bullets every time I have to buy OPKs, HPTs, or prenatals.

You should have given her a really off the wall answer like "878" or "pink ballons" just leave her scratching her head.

  • Argh, I hate when people feel the need to comment on what you're buying. But that in particular - so inappropriate!
  • Its all about buying online for me. Gotta love the bulk internet cheapies.

  • Tell the cashiers you are buying them for your 14-year-old sister. Usually her 28 year-old boyfriend buys them for her, but he spent all of his disability check on some horseshoes and a set of bagpipes.

The one time I was greatful for checker intervention was when she showed me that a 3-pack of the FRER's was on sale and had a coupon.

The obvious solution is to road trip to NYC everytime you need to buy pee sticks.....  Or buy online.  I bought all mine on line, and they were great.  And cheap!

  • Holy Crap!! to the person at Osco ... are you kidding me?? I'm not sure what I would have done.

And I thought having the alarm go off at Walmart was bad enough ... that trumps my experience for sure (sorry!)

Target should be a good move ... I've never had an issue buying them there. Same with Fred Meyer, if you have one of those near you.

  • I would complain to the manager about the CVS cashier. That is none of her damn business. Make sure you let them know that it cost them your business.

Also, this is why I always ordered mine online. Wink
