Cute name, but every time I see it I flash on this.

    haha. I keep seeing this name on here lately. No offense to anyone who likes it, but it just sounds so wussy to me.

    yah you can tell who the Twilight fans are around here. Anyone unfamiliar with the series (hi!) thinks it pretty bad, but the girls who know the character, I'm guessing a young and attractive guy, love it.

    To me, Jasper is an old english butler and kinda a casper-y reference. so nms.

    I haven't seen any of the Twilight movies, so I don't associate the name with that, but I do associate it with this creepy stalker character from the new 90210 TV series!  Yes, embarassed to admit it, but I watch that show...

    Well, I am a Twilight fan, but I don't like the name.  It has become very popular because the books, though.  According to SS, it went up like over 100 ranks from 2008 to 2009.

    I think to assume it is a Twilight reference is incorrect.  It's been hanging around the sort of hippy/yuppy circles for a while and while Twilight might have increased its visability, I would not say it is soley a Twilight result.  I would be much more likely to associate a Bella with Twilight.

    That said, I like it and have liked it since I knew met a Jasper when I was around 10 years old.  I think it has a sort of eclectic sound and does not remind me of Casper in the least.  I would definitely prefer to see more Jaspers than I would another Braden or Grayson.  *puke*
