If you've ordered from Old Navy maternity

I'm about to order a maternity swimsuit and I can't decide what size to get.  It says if you were a prepregnancy 14-16, then order an XL....however, my stomach is already really big and I feel like I've gained a lot in my hips and but.  (lovely!)  But if I get an XXL, will it be too big.  Just wondering how they're stuff runs.

Re: If you've ordered from Old Navy maternity

  • The shirts run big, IMO. I have xs in all maternity tops from there and would usually order a small.

  • I'm not sure about their swimsuits, but my sister sent me pants in a size 6 (normally I wear a 4 or 6) and the size 6 pants were huge.  So maybe their clothes run big..?

  • Their sizes run big.

  • Are there any reviews posted for the swimsuit you want to order? Usually buyers post whether or not to buy it in a larger or smaller size as Old Navy tends to run Larger on some of their clothes for some reason.

  • I wear a 16-18 and the XXL is pretty big on me for pants and tops...I'd order your normal size.

  • I agree that the clothes run larger. However, I just ordered a tankini swim suit top, and felt like it fit true to size. I even wonder if it will fit my belly in a month.
  • Their maternity clothes are HUGE!  I still really can't fit into my shorts I bought there.  And yes, I bought my pre-pregnancy size.  I can only imagine maternity swimsuits fit the same.

  • I ordered the maternity swim suit from them, and the bottoms fit, and the top is a little big but this was back when I was a lot smaller in the belly..  So I image I'll grow into the top

  • Generally speaking, the ON mat stuff runs really big. I haven't tried a suit from them. (Don't really need it yet and they don't carry swim suits in the store near me.)

I'd probably buy in two sizes and return what didn't fit. But an XXL will fall right off you if you're a 14/16.

  • They run big.  I'm usually a XXL at Old Navy.  I went yesterday and tried on skirts and the XXL was too big, even in maternity.  I ended up getting an XL.
  • Thanks for this thread, OP... I was wondering the same thing!!!

  • Agree they run big. But I like that when I feel the fattest that my tag says XS! ;)

  • they run big, do not get the XXL.
  • I always order a size smaller when it comes to old navy because their clothes run really big. I ordered from them with my first pregnancy and felt like the maternity sizing was big as well.
  • Old Navy runs big in general. They tend to cater to larger sizes which is great. Maternity seems to run big too but not their ribbed tanks! I bought small which is my usual size and they don't have a lot of room to grow into and they are pretty short.

  • I would go with the XL.  Warning about the bottoms, they are cut low.
