We are taking DD to her first baseball game this afternoon. I am thinking about just using an ergo, so I don't have to mess with the carseat. However, then I won't have a place to set her when she wants to sleep.
Has anyone taken their LO to a game yet? Any tips?

Re: Taking baby to a MLB game
we took DD a few weeks ago. brought the sling and she did well in it. It was a night game, so it didn't get too hot.
She had sunscreen and a hat as well.
Where would you put her to sleep if you did bring the carseat? you may not have a place anyway, and then you still have to hold her while dealing with the rest of the stuff.
sometimes the noise got to her, and she definitely missed a nap, but overall did really well.
have fun!
DS has been to two games already this year. Both were relatively cool, so we didn't have to deal with the heat, but it was lots of fun. He ended up sleeping through most of the second game we took him to and just slept in my arms. My arm got a little tired, but he slept great!
Enjoy!

We are going to take Julia to a minor league baseball game on Father's Day, we haven't gone yet, but I was planning to hold her when she needed to sleep. Or see if she will sleep in the moby. I'd love to hear other ideas too!
YAY!!! I love taking DD. She has been to 6 games and will attend at least 22 by the end of the season - Maybe more if we make it to the Post Season!!!! She does great - eats and sleep normal through the game. We just hold her when she is sleeping. If you take a stoller you will not be able to take it to your seat anyway so if you put her in it to sleep you will have to walk around or sit in the concourse.
We used our ergo the 1st game and then decided against it after that. It was great for walking into the game but once we were at our seat is was just one more thing we had to keep track of. I condensed a diaper bag to the bare minimum. I also have just a little bag to run to the bathroom for diaper changes. Our stadium does not have changing stations in every ladies room so you may want to scout out your area before the game. Also, if you breastfeed ask customer service if they have a family room or medical room that you can use to nurse in. Our stadium has a nice one with tvs showing the game.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm become a pro at taking DD to games.
For fun stuff - ask your customer service if they give away anything for child's first game. We got a cute little pin that says 1st game with the mascot on it.
We just carried her and held her when she fell asleep. We took her to a Rays game at 8 weeks.
A Moby would work, too.
Do you live in Tampa Area?
We've taken DS to a couple baseball games and a hockey game. I put him in the Ergo since he'll fall asleep in that while I'm walking and we didn't bring the carseat. There would be no place to put the carseat unless you have an extra ticket. DS slept in our arms when he'd fall asleep. We have yet to make it past the 7th inning at a baseball game so when he gets overly fussy we just leave.
My tips...
If you BF, bring a bottle. It is so much easier than trying to BF in those stadium seats.
Be prepared to have to get up and walk around or leave early. It was very hard on DS to sit in a seat so we did make some laps around the stadium (I don't like baseball so no problem with me).
Bring disposable changing pads. Changing tables in the bathroom are yucky.
Bring toys for your LO if she has busy hands. My guy constantly wants to be holding stuff. The links were great since the toys don't fall on the ground.
If you find yourself standing and an usher offers a seat to you take it! All the old ushers at Angels stadium were awesome with us and pretty much let me stand where I wanted to as long as I wasn't blocking views and sit in empty seats back by all the concession stands.

Cool - I assume you don't venture to the West Coast Florida Nest board since I don't recognize you. You should come over one time and say Hi. We also have a Facebook group and a good # of mommies. This weekend we are having a GTG in Tampa on Saturday morning.
