sippy cup recommendations?

We have tried several different ones---none have worked so far.  Please recommend your sippy cup/straw cup.  TIA!!!

Re: sippy cup recommendations?

  • We have an Avent with the handles and a Nuk without handles. DD doesn't seem to have a preference for either one. The Nuk seem to be easier for her to hold, which is ironic b/c the Avent are the ones that are known for that.

  • dd loves the nuby sippy cups. She couldn't hold the nuk and had a really hard time getting anything out of it - but she holds the nuby like a champ.

  • I have tried I think all of them. Mine is just not ready for it. She knows how to do it, just doesnt want to. I will try again in another month

  • Nuby with the super spout.  We had two Nubys I bought at Christmas with the old spout and DS had a lot of trouble drinking.  I just bought a bunch of new ones with the "super spout" and he's been drinking successfully.  They make straw cups and sport sippers, too.

Thanks!  I love how this looks- we have one it was a gift for Aiden...so far no luck.  Hopefully he will grow into it!  :)

  • Thanks ladies- we have some of the nuby ones...but he just chews on them.  We also tried a hard sippy cup...but still chews on it.  We were thinking a straw cup too....but no luck.  Will keep trying.  :)

  • We've had luck with the Playtex straw cup.  And  my LO seriously hates sippies, so for this one to work was a miracle!

This was the exact same boat we were in, then I gave him a Nuk Learner Cup and he started sucking and drinking immediately! ?I was so excited! ?The spout is a little longer on these, and I think it triggered his sucking reflex more. ?They are a little hard to find though, that's the only problem. ?

Oh cool!  I will have to try that one!  Maybe BRU has them online...
