  • OMG!  That's so scary!!!  Is she acting ok?  I would at least call the pedi - they should be able to tell you anything to look out for that needs immediate attention.

  • Do you have a nurses line you can call?

I can't remember all the symptoms to look for, definitely if she vomiting, lethargic, or anything, bring her in.

Jake fell off our bed a few months ago. We got lucky, he fell into a big pile a pillows and thought it was funny. But my heart nearly stopped.

  • Just keep an eye on her, but she's probably fine. DS fell off the bed last night too - DH caught him by the head - it was really scary too. I screamed - he didn't! And he's absolutely fine.
  • I guess it would depend on the severity of the fall, like how far she fell and what part of her body she landed on.

The bad thing about going to the ER is potentially exposing her to diseases in there. But, if there is even a chance she was harmed it's probably worth it to just go ahead and go, just to be cautious.

  • DD hit her head on the garage floor a few months ago and I called the nurse line.  She said to take her to the ER if she vomited and it was ok if she took a nap in the next few hours, but to make sure she was alert every 15 minutes (said I didn't to wake her up, just to make sure she moved or to move her leg or something and see if she moved in response.)  If she wasn't responsive, then take her to the ER.

It will be okay! It happens - don't freak out too much. Just keep and eye on her.
