We have the Nuk sippy and a gerber brand, but I would love to try the tilty cup. Jack is still having issues with not lifting it high enough to get to the liquid. We started with water in it at around 8 months and now I will put formula in there to try to get him to use it. I'm trying to wean him off the bottle by 1 year when he starts with whole milk.

We tried a lot of different ones and Born Free works the best for her. It's just the right amount of sucking that she has to do.
I probably first gave her water in it around 7-8 months with her meals. I've never done BM because I figure she'll never need to drink that out of it. It took a long time for her to get it - I just kept offering.
DD uses the nubies right now. She has been bfed so she isn't really used to any bottle or cup. She likes them and, since she is teething, she usually knaws on it.

We started around 6 mo. She never really like any sippy cup but LOVES her straw cups she had a straw mastered at 9 months probably. She'll use any brand, take n toss, Munchkin, Playtex.
After trying a bunch of fancy ones, the only ones she'll take are the cheap-o Take and Toss ones. She prefers the straw but will drink out of the hard spout ones.
She's 11m and she is just starting to get it, but we didn't introduce it until 10m.
She will NOT drink formula out of it, but water is a success.
Re: What sippy cup works for your little one?
We started off with the munchkin sippy's then the Nuby's. She doesn't have a favorite. She now uses straw sippy's and take & toss sippy cups.
When/how did you introduce it? When she was 6 months.
When did they "get" it? Around 7 months
What did you put in there first? Water... Now she has whole milk in it.
