horrible pio experience this morning!

I guess I was still pretty sleepy when I started my injection this morning.  As soon as the needle went in I knew it was a weird angle.  I started to push the plunger and got all sweaty/clammy feeling.  I was trying to push the oil in as fast as I could becasue I was feeling worse and worse.  I started to get really nauseated.  I was almost done and my ears started ringing.  I knew I only had a few seconds before I passed out. I had this vision of passing out with a needle in my ass and it wasn't pretty!  I got the needle out and rushed to the bed.  I blacked out as soon as I laid down.  It was only for a few seconds and when I could see again there was blood all over the sheets from the injection site!  I still didn't feel great so I laid on the bathroom floor and the cold tiles felt really good.  After about 5 minutes I finally felt better and got up.  Oh the drama!

I guess I should try eating something before doing the injection to avoid that again.  Any other suggestions?

That sounds awful. I use to do my PIO at night.  Maybe you should start doing this too!!

Oh no!  Eat something first!  I hate that damn PIO!!!  My DH does it and I swear....once last week we had one time when he took it out and it squirted blood across the room.  Gross! 

Can you lay down and do it?

that sounds like an early-morning low blood sugar thing, or something to me. An IM (or sub-q) shot won't induce fainting, unless you're scared to death of needles and are filming a movie. lol.

That's scary, sister! Might better have dh with you for the next one. On a side note, just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on the beta!! Can't wait to see how many beans are cooking!

I might try doing the left side laying down because I'm just not good at that side. I wish DH could do them for me but he's out of town...maybe I could train Hannah or the dog to help. Lol!
